This is from Cakewalk directly about onboard sound chips (cards) Note, with onboard cards, you will and might not get good performance and low latency. Then after you have the correct downloaded driver for your soundcard, try to configure the latency/buffers for it, so you get the best performance from it. See whats supported for your onboard sound card. If you didnt already, i would download your sound card driver and make sure its the newest one for your operating system and try that one in MME, WDM and ASIO modes. Your actually using WDM driver mode in your laptop if your using ASIO4all. Am I wrong? Should I choose the WDM driver or another driver and uninstall asio4all from the laptop? Thought that ASIO4All would help in that situation. Does anyone have experience with this Midi interface, and can point me whether or not it is the interface or something wrong with my laptop? Thanks so much in advance for your help! I have used the enditall utility to kill any unnecessary processes, and this hasn't helped at all. For the most part the notes sound when they should, but every few measures notes will either drop out entirely or will sound later than they should. I don't have a latency issue, but every few measures I will hit a note and either the note will not sound or will sound 2-3 seconds later. I should mention that I am using ASIOforall2 drivers, and have chosen ASIO for my driver. I used it with my M-Audio MIDI controller when I was getting these issues. Which really messed up my workflow a lot. Using the M-audio midisport Uno USB-Midi interface, I have problems which are maddening. 0 Comments The problem that I had with it is that there was like a slight delay between sending out MIDI signals. I recently purchased an HP pavilion dv4 1123us laptop, and wanted to record my keyboard with Sonar PE 7 on to my laptop. No latency issues, no dropouts, works great. Help! Midi problems with M-audiomidisport unoįolks, I use a Roland A-80 keyboard with my desktop unit and emu 404 pci card with no problems at all.
